Dr. Kelvin Van Voorst was raised in Northwestern Iowa. He attended Iowa State University for his undergraduate degree in Biology and Pennsylvania College of Optometry for his Doctor of Optometry.

Dr. Stacie Van Voorst grew up in upstate New York. She received her Bachelor of Science at the University of Buffalo and her Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA.

After graduation, Dr. Kelvin and Dr. Stacie moved to the Dallas area to be close to friends and family. They fell in love with the area and decided to open their practice in 2005. Both are active members in the Texas Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, Northeastern Texas Optometric Association and the Prosper Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Stacie and Dr. Kelvin are proud residents of Prosper, Texas and are involved in giving back to the community through various committees. They are also active members in St. Paul's Episcopal church here in Prosper. They enjoy spending time with their children.

Melody is our Patient Care Coordinator. She is the smiling face that you will see when first walking into Prosper Family Eyecare. She is dedicated to making your visit to our office as smooth, efficient and comfortable as possible. Melody's role is to guide you in preparation for your first visit and she is available to answer any and all questions regarding your medical and vision coverage. Her main priority is you! Melody has lived in the Prosper area for over 8 years. She enjoys spending time with her husband, 4 children and her dog, Nemo.

Shala is our Optician. She has been in the optical field for over 10 years. Shala enjoys assisting our patients in finding that perfect frame. She is always looking for the newest styles and trends to update our frame gallery. She has extensive knowledgeable of lens design and vision insurance benefits to assist you in your eyewear selection.  Shala lives in Prosper with her husband of 9 years and their 2 little girls. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
